The EUIPO is getting closer to ensuring product authenticity by creating a new ecosystem in which all parties have a common stake and an immutable bond in the blockchain.
Together with IP rights holders, customs authorities and transport and logistic operators we have successfully demonstrated the anti-counterfeiting blockathon infrastructure viability using multiple products journeys. This exercise involved all parties in tracking and validating product authenticity and provenance, from foreign manufacturing sites down to EU-based local distribution centres.
It is now time to unveil these results publicly during a hybrid event hosted by the EUIPO on 31 May in Alicante, gathering all interested parties and the Blockathon Forum members.
We are delighted to invite you to attend this event to mark this important milestone in the implementation of the Anti-counterfeiting Blockathon Infrastructure.
To attend please register no later than 24 May COB using this link:
The draft agenda of the event will be shared in the following week.
